1.25" Camera Adaptor for Eyepiece Projection and Prime Focus Photography

This adaptor allows you to attach SLR cameras to telescopes with 1.25" adaptation. In addition you will need a T-ring for your camera (see recommended accessories).

This adapter can be used both for prime focus photography and for eyepiece projection.

Prime Focus Photography:
The camera is attached directly to the telescope without an eyepiece in between. For this you need to use only the nose piece of this adaptor and attach the camera with the optional T2 ring.

Eyepiece Projection:
For this you need to use this adaptor as a whole. A 1.25" eyepiece is inserted into the adaptor and then fixed with the locking screw. The camera is then attached with an optional T2 adapter. Please note: The eyepiece projection adaptor accepts many 1.25" eyepieces, but some eyepieces are too large to be used.

Specifications:

The adaptor consists of two parts:

Part one:
-- Adaptation on the telescope side: 1.25" barrel
-- Adaptation on the camera side: T2 (M42x0.75) male

Part two:
-- Adaptation on the telescope side: T2 female
-- Adaptation on the camera side: accepts 1.25"
eyepieces / T2 male

Practical Tips from TS:

For eyepiece projection we recommend Super Plossl eyepieces. The most frequently used focal lengths are 9mm through 15mm. Under "recommended accessories" you will find suitable eyepieces.
