Parabolic primary for Newtonian telescopes
Diameter 250mm / 10" / Focal length 1250mm - AD081

For the amateur telescope maker, GSO manufactures high-end parabolic mirrors with very precise and smooth surface.

Substrate ... All GSO mirrors use, according to the manufacturer, the optical BK7 glass as substrate. BK7 is a very homogenous material.

Accuracy ... The surface of the parabolic mirror is at least diffraction limited. The roughness is better than 1/16 wave RMS.

Reflectivity ... Each mirror bears an aluminum layer of 94% reflectivity. This layer is quartz overcoated for protection. Hence the coating is tough and resistent against age effects.
