Why is the EDXC less expensive?
In the EDXC series, more economically priced glass types were used. Through a newly calculated optics, the performance of the EDX scopes was almost achieved. The body is somewhat longer, but the other values are the same.

Spotting scope for interchangeable eyepieces
The spotting scope body with its angled view has an objective diameter of 82 mm for gathering much light. Two different eyepieces are available:

EDX eyepiece for 20x to 60x magnification

EDX eyepiece for 25x to 50x magnification

The eyepieces are ordered separately and, with 35-21 m resp. 42-27 m view at 1000 m, can be
categorised as wide-angle construction.

Capture the view
The spotting scope´s body is equipped with a bayonet connector which is not only used for mounting EDX eyepieces, but is also compatible with eyepieces of world´s leading optics manufacturers. Additionally, classical and digital SLR cameras can be attached to the "EDX 82" by means of an adapter. This makes changing between visual observing and digiscoping quick and convenient.

Very good optics
The especially coated ED elements, made of fluoride glass, offer sharp contours and brilliant, true colour images. The DDlucid coating, alreadily proven with the EDX binoculars of DDoptics, ensures maximal contrast, sharpness, brigthness and brilliance, it also guarantees a reflection-free image even under backlight conditions. The dual-speed system allows focusing with two different gear ratios - quick and precise.

Lightweight, but tough
With its length of 437 mm, the stable housing of the "EDX 82" is compact. The strong anti-slip armour provides grip and safe hold. By using the lightweight and stable magnesium, the body weighs only 1.350 gramms.

The spotting scope EDX 82c is nitrogen-filled and thus guaranteed to be waterproof. Furthermore, a dirt-repellent coating lets water droplets simply drip off. Thus the spotting scope can be used without problems even in the most adverse conditions, continuing to supply a very good image.
