TS Newtonian Truss Telescope with carbon tube - aperture 303 mm - focal length 1212 mm
Newtonian telescopes are known worldwide for their excellent price-performance ratio. Now Teleskop Service offers a modern quartz mirror with a conical shape in a real high-end tube, for demanding applications like astrophotography.
The advantages of the 12" f/4 truss Newtonian telescope at a glance:
sharp optics with above-average image quality 94% reflectivity for primary and secondary mirror for a brighter image with higher contrast conical main mirror made of fused silica - no disturbing clamps - full adjustability and best hold. The main mirror is screwed to the bracket via a M50x1 thread. large 88 mm secondary mirror for good illumination high-quality carbon truss tube primary and secondary cell made of metal - fully adjustable 2" MONORAIL dual speed focuser (10:1) ideal for standard coma correctors for astrophotography - our recommendation: TSGPU 2" 4-element corrector also suitable for the TS 0.73x coma corrector and reducer, the Newtonian turns into an astrograph with f/2.9 two Losmandy style dovetail bar at opposite sides - one for connecting the telescope to the mount, one for attaching accessories like guide scope or camera support for side-by-side (piggyback) photographyThe carbon tube with joints of stainless steel or aluminium:
The tube combines the advantages of a carbon tube, regarding temperature stability, with the rigidity of a solid tube. After temperature changes, refocusing is not needed.
The workmanship is outstanding, the connecting elements are precisely CNC-manufactured of aluminium.
Astro imaging with the 12" f/4 Newtonian - One teleskope, two focal lengths!
The telescope is perfectly suited for astrophotography. A coma corrector is needed to get the full sharpness of the stars in the complete field of view.
The working distance from the M48 thread upwards is 55mm. The focal length and the aperture ratio are not changed. The corrector is ideal for DSLR cameras (T-ring + camera) and for cooled astro cameras. The corrector should not be inserted completely into the focuser. It should protrude about 30mm. With the 2ZKonter (counter ring) you can reach a precise and reproducible working position.
The working distance from the M48 thread is 66.85mm. The aperture ratio changes to bright f/2.9 and the focal length is shortened to 879mm. The corrector is suitable for cameras up to APS-C format. The corrector can be inserted into the drawer up to the stop. You can then focus without any problems.
Upgrade - Other eyepiece extensions can be connected
The monorail holds modern Astro cameras, system cameras and DSLRs with good stability. The generous working distance of 168mm above the flat supporting surface also allows the adaptation of other eyepiece extensions. We would be pleased to provide you with an individual offer. We particularly recommend the following focuser, which are linked in the accessories section.
UNCN2 2" focuser with BA2957032 base (for flat supporting surfaces) - screw connection of 2" accessories is possible - overall height with base is 70mm CRL2,5r 2,5" Moonlite focuser with CRL2,5-BAFlat (for flat support surfaces) - the drawer offers a M68x1 screw thread - height with base is 73mm FTF2015BCR 2" Starlight Feather Touch focuser with BA20CL base (made to measure) - height with base is 80mm FTF3215B-A 3" Real Feather Touch focuser with BA32CL base made to measure - height with base is 100mm without vignetting. This allows the connection of 3" correctors for full format, such as TSKORW3, N-AGK3 or the 3" Paracorr VIP3010.Astrophotographic results obtained with this telescope on Astrobin
