The ZW Optical ASI178MC camera is equipped with a large 1/1.8" sensor. Through the new
SONY STARVIS and
Exmor R technology, images with very little noise are generated, with high sensitivity at the same time. The result is a versatile camera which delivers excellent results for different requirements. The ASI 178 is especially suitable for:
♦ lunar and planetary photography
♦ 170° all-sky images and weather observation (with the 2.5 mm objective)
♦ solar photography (with suitable filter)
♦ photography of brighter nebulae and star clusters - exposure times up to 1000 seconds are possible
♦ photography through microscopes
♦ autoguiding camera (autoguiding port exists)
