Orion manufactures high-quality Dall-Kirkham and Newtonian telescopes for astrophotography. For these telescopes, the stable ACU-3S focuser is used. Now we can offer this high-quality focuser for individual telescope adaptions.

The Orion ACU-3S features an especially high-quality workmanship:

As counter bearings for the ball bearings, massive steel rails are integrated into the drawtube.

The Crayford transmission shaft presses on a laser-cut V2A steel plate - the result is a smooth adjustment even at maximum load.

The focuser has a high mechanical load capacity with up to 6 kg weight at the camera side.

The 1:10 dual speed transmission is also made of V2A steel in professional quality.

The drawtube has 76.2 mm clear aperture and is fittet with anti-reflex baffling.

The professional focuser offers miscellaneous connectivity options via the female M82x1 thread - connection adapters are linked in the accessories section.

With only 64,3 mm length, the Orion ACU-3S surely is one of the shortest 3" focusers in the market - ideal where, as with Newtonian telescopes, every millimetre counts.
