If used in a cold environment (outdoor / winter), the current drain of many mounts rises. Standard wall adapters often have not enough power reserves here so the voltages drops - sometimes below the lower limit of the mount so errors may occur. Users may then blame the telescope electronics but the real cause is the weak power supply!
With a maximum current of 5 Amperes @ 12 Volt DC (60 Watts, this mains adapter is ideal for mounts like the Celestron-Montierungen Advanced VX, CGEM (DX), CGE Pro and CPC HD Deluxe. Of course it also fits to other systems with 12 V DC (positive pin) and ø2.1 x ø5.5 x 12 mm socket.

"Für meine CGEM eine wirklich tolle Ergänzung. Vor allem die Länge der Kabel ermöglicht es mir das Netzteil in einer ""Wetterbox"" zu lagern, und es bleibt genug Spielraum um das Teleskop frei in jegliche Richtung schwenken zu können. Die Kabellänge ist bei anderen Lösungen oft ein Problem, wenn das Netzteil dann nicht mehr in der Box gelagert werden kann, weil die Kabel sonst zu kurz werden."
