The TS Optics Starscope 806 is a powerful refractor with 80 mm aperture
The compact telescope is well supported by a small equatorial mount, but also by alt-azimuth mounts and photo tripods. The refractor is versatile and can be used (not only) as:
compact travel telescope for birding, nature observation and, of course, astronomy
telephoto lens for photography - camera adption via T2
guide scope for astrophotography

Despite the optics is very good, you will notice the two-element achromatic construction. For reducing the chromatic error which is visible when viewing brighter objects at high magnifications, we recommend an appropriate filter like the Baader Fringe Killer or the Contrast Booster.

Practical tip from Teleskop Service - observing with this telescope:
For focusing, you need a 1.25" extension tube, a 1.25" star diagonal mirror or a 1.25" Amici prism (see "recommended accessories" secton).

For astronomical viewing, we recommend a star diagonal mirror, as it errects the image and allows for a comfortable insight.

For daytime observations, you can also use such a mirror, but an Amici prism (45° might be the better choice) additional exchanges left and right, making the image look like correctly orientated, like in binoculars.

TS 80/600 mm refractor with tube rings

Question:
Can a 2" focuser be connected??.

Answer from Teleskop-Service:
The tube allows the connection of 2" refractor focusers. The TSFOCR2M and MonorailR86 focusers fit directly to the tube without any modifications.

"Hallo, I can tell about this refractor that it is indeed excellent. Used with quality eyepieces and a sturdy mount this 3,14 inch can be useful. I have a bigger newt 150/600 and a powerful Mak (180/2700) and I can a compare them. As build quality this instrument is average. The focuser is entirely metallic which is very good in comparation with the majority of refractors of this size and class on market who had a low quality plastic focuser. On the adder hand this metallic focuser has vertical movement which is not so gut. Still, when you compare it with a plastic one, well, that is the difference between gut and disastrous. The optic quality of the objective is really good for an achromatic. With a Amici prism and good quality Plössl eyepieces and a Barlow lens this instrument can allow usable high magnifications next to the theoretical limit (160X) and beyond. At low magnifications this refractor is nothing but great. Yes, there is chromatic aberration but the overall image quality is from usable to good and very good. I have tested the refractor on a EQ5 motorized mount. Everybody can tell about the importance of a sturdy and reliable mount, the result was excellent. Well, at the end, I must say that this instrument has a great value for the money despite its limitations. *** "
