TS - M54 Filter Quick Changer for 50 mm and 50.4 unmounted filters - only 10 mm optical length!

The filter drawer is designed for unmounted filters with a diameter of 50.4 mm (for example from Baader) or 50 mm (for example from Astronomik or Astrodon). We don´t know of any filter change system that is shorter. This TS filter drawer is a very good solution if you have very little space between the drawer and the camera.

This filter drawer fits directly into the M54x0.75 filter thread of large astro cameras, some of which are equipped with full format sensors. The filter is placed directly in front of the camera sensor. This optimally prevents vignetting. You will have very good illumination even with fast telescopes.

Advantages of the Filter Quick Changer in comparison with other systems:

♦ there is no limit to the number of different filters you can use
♦ low profile
♦ therefore best possible field illumination
♦ the filter quick changer needs less space than, for example, a filter wheel
♦ the filters currently not in use can be stored protected from dew and dust. In classical filter drawers the filters are completely unprotected!

Very short M54 connection thread at the telescope side: The female M54 thread (2" filter thread) is only 2 mm long, which is a concession to the short design of the drawer. If your connection adapter has a longer connection thread, you will need M48 fine tuning rings (see suggested accessories). Should the connection thread go too deeply into the filter changer, the drawer would be blocked, you couldn´t move it anymore.
