TS-Optics 80 mm f/7 ED APO refractor for astrophotography and observation
The compact 80 mm f/7 Extra-Low Dispersion - ED refractor from Teleskop-Service is a solid and very transportable "allround telescope" for observation and astrophotography. The well corrected optics provide an almost aberration-free image, due to the moderate f-ratio and integrated ED glass. Use this APO refractor for astrophotography or for impressive observations. The good optics, the "photo-friendly" 2" focuser and the solid construction guarantee joy and success as well as fantastic experiences beneath the night sky.

The advantages of the TS 80 mm f/7 ED refractor:
very well corrrected ED-optics - adjustable
rigid and accurate 2" focuser - ball bearing mounted drawtube - focus adjustment via R&P mechanism
2" receptable with reduction to 1.25" with ring clamping and additional photo thread M54x0.75 for screw connection
Robustly constructed tube with CNC tube rings guarantee optimal mechanical stability

The Doublet ED objective:
The hand-manufactured objective is mounted in a temperature compensated cell. It consists of two lenses, one of them being an ED element for a good correction of chromatic aberration. We use the best possible multi-coating of the manufacturer on each glass-air surface for optimal contrast.

The TS 80 mm f/7 ED refractor is ideally suited for astrophotography:
The precise focuser and the light-sensitive optics make the 80 mm ED refractor a good telescope for astrophotography. To correct the image field, we recommend the following correctors - they are also linked in the accessory section.

TSRED80 - focal length reduction and image field correction
This corrector is designed for the 80 mm f/7 ED and shortens the focal length to 448 mm. The speed increases to f/5.6. With a backfocus of 55 mm from the T2 thread you can connect all common DSLR cameras and also CCD cameras. We recommend the TSRED80 for DSLR cameras with APS-C sensors and for CCD cameras with sensors up to 30 mm diameter.

WiflatM48 - 2" field correction without change of the focal length ... Outstanding illumination - suitable for larger sensors - a field of roughly 40 mm diameter is illuminated at a 100%. The back focus from the M48 of the corrector is 55 mm.

"Funktioniert perfekt!"

Excellent scope with a solid feel to everything, if you are a complete beginner get good advise on how to set it up as it can suffer from back focus, especially with some accessories. Otherwise no grumbles.

"Quality build and finish, the focuser is particularly good with a nice smooth action. Lovely views, great for sweeping the sky and makes a very convenient ""grab and go"" scope."

"Preisleistungsverhältnis top. Farbreine Darstellung. Vom Gewicht her mache ich damit noch Aufnahmen mit einer Skywatcher Staradventurer Montierung. Wertiges Material. Einziger ""Kritikpunkt"": man könnte eine längere Prismenschiene mitliefern."
