Lunt 50 mm H-alpha Telescope with Blocking Filter B600 and Pressure Tuner

The LS50THa is a complete Solar Telescope with 50 mm aperture and 350 mm focal length.

The internal etalon with a new pressure tuning system allows for <0.75 Ångström bandwidth. With this "Pressure Tuner", the etalon can be adjusted substantially more precise than with conventional systems. The pressure tuner compensates altitude changes and air pressure fluctuations and provides for optimal performance, especially when compensating the Doppler shift of filaments.

With the matched collimation lens set, the LS50THa is fully corrected for coma, astigmatism and de-centering aberrations and provides a full spherically corrected flat-field solar telescope.

Blocking filter is the B600, which avoids vignetting in photography.

The star diagonal, in which the blocking filter is installed, is equipped as standard for 1.25" eyepieces and with a T2 camera connection.

Fine adjustment is achieved with a helical focuser.

Adding an optional double-stack etalon system will reduce the bandwidth to <0.5 Ångström and therefore enhance contrast significantly.

Important hint: In humid air, blocking filters might tarnish, so keep yours dry. You can get little packages of silica gel for reducing humidity even more. Put one and the filter into a small freezer bag and seal it.
