1.25" star diagonal - 99% reflectivity - 1/12 lambda - CNC metal housing
An excellent 1.25" star diagonal for a very good image - with ring clamp for a secure hold.

Many star diagonals have a reflectivity of approx. 90° reflection (10% light is lost) and have a plastic housing. This 1.25" star diagonal from TS Optics is a really high-quality alternative with excellent imaging and high manufacturing quality. It offers full 1.25" illumination, so long focal length 1.25" eyepieces can also be used. The telescope-side sleeve has a filter thread.

Another advantage over many other star diagonal is the low-set (9 mm compared to 3 to 3.5 mm) clamping screw. The lower position prevents eyepieces with large diameters from blocking the screw.
Illumination:full 1.25" illumination
Reflection:99 %
optical quality:1/12 lambda
Mirror substrate:optical glass BK7
Housing:completely CNC machined from metal
Connection telescope side:1.25" sleeve with filter thread for 1.25" filter
Connection on eyepiece side:T2 thread with 1.25" adapter
Effective optical length:55 mm (without 1.25" adapter)
1.25"/T2 star diagonal with metal housing
1.25" eyepiece adapter for use with eyepieces

"Diagonal mirror of excellent quality. Delivery was fast, damages and dust on the mirror was not detected. The shortened construction makes the light path shorter, due to which the details are brighter and more congruous. I recommend everyone to buy."

"I particularly like the T2-adapter. It would be good if the mirror unit was symmetrical, with the same thread on both sides, so that both could be converted to R2. BTW, a mirror like this is better than a 90-degree prism if the object is not at infinity."

"I have tried various prisms and mirrors and this is the most suitable for short optical paths (~100mm). I particularly appreciate the T2 adapter on one side; it would be even better if I could have T2 on both sides."
