Solar Filters from Astrozap are the right choice for save and successful Solar observing and photography. These premium solar filters have an aluminum cell that is centered and secured to the end of the telescope with a nylon thumb screw and felt.
These are the highest quality, most durable, full aperture glass solar filters we know. The sun is viewed in a natural yellowish-orange image. The filter can be used for direct viewing or for photography.

"Habe den Sonnenfilter anläßlich des Merkurtransit angeschafft. Wollte die Bastelei mit Folie umgehen und ein stabiles Teil haben. Die mitgelieferten Filzaufkleber zur Anpassung des Durchmesser haben nicht gut funktioniert, die Klebeseite ließ sich nicht abziehen; habe eigene Aufkleber gehabt und die verwendet. Der Filter lässt sich dann prima befestigen und hält m.E. gut. Der Filter macht einen sehr stabilen Eindruck. Über die optische Qualität kann ich nicht viel sagen, da kein Vergleich mit Folie o.ä. vorhanden. Subjektiv: Für mich als rein visueller Beobachter erschien die Qualität gut. Konnte den Transit sehr schön beobachten und bin rundum zufrieden. "
