Astrozap AZ-722 Heater Strap for Rigel Quik Finder

The Rigel is a popular finder. Due to the exposed projection screen, the finder is very susceptible to dew.

The AZ-722 heating strap effectively prevents the projection screen from fogging and does not interfere with the use of the finder. It is quickly adapted, even during operation. All common controllers are possible for control (see accessory recommendations).

Fogged up optics can mean the premature end of an otherwise successful imaging session. Dew heater straps minimize the danger of condensation on lenses, mirrors or corrector plates. This is achieved by gentle heating which makes any moisture evaporate before it condensates. The temperature can be regulated with an optional controller resulting in optimal heating whilst consuming the least amount of power. These dew heater straps can be combined with dew caps which improves effectiveness.
