Meade LX200 ACF SC Telescopes for Observing and Astrophotography

LX200 telescopes with the newly developed ACF optics allows astrophotographic application at the highes level. The "Advanced Coma-Free" ACF optics provide a field correction similar to the one of an RC telescope AND the advantages of a classical SC telescope. The result is a professional telescope which is suitable for all amateur astronomers.

The ACF - Advanced Coma Free optics

The Meade ACF optics have a major advantage over conventional Schmidt-Cassegrains, the coma is corrected. Thus these telescope provide a very good sharpness not only on the axis (centre of the image), but also in the entire field. You can see that through an eyepiece as well as on the final image. Astrophotographers therefor can use their camera directly without corrector systems and will get beautiful round stars to the edge of the field.

With 314 mm diameter, the primary mirror is overdimensioned, so you get a better illumination in the field and can use large full-frame size cameras.

This stable and very powerful mount with GoTo ability makes locting objects in the sky easier for beginners as well as for experienced observers and photographers.

The Sony GPS receiver with Level North Technology (LNT) helps with quick and accurate alignment by automatic transfer of precise time, date and location.
