Sky-Watcher´s largest premium quality QUATTRO Imaging Newtonian with a wide field of illumination and fast f4 focal-ratio
The new QUATTRO Newtonian telescopes from Skywatcher have been designed with the fast f/4 focal ratio especially for astrophotography with short exposure times. Of course, the Quattro Newtonians also perform well for visual observation. The diffraction-limited parabolic Newtonians even allow high-resolution observations and photography of the Moon and planets.

The focus position of the QUATTRO Newtonian telescope is sized to allow easy focusing with DSLR cameras.

2" Linear Power dual-speed focuser:
The new 2" Linear Power focuser is an improvement over the conventional Crayford focuser. Four precision ball bearings support and stabilize the inner tube, while adjustment is accomplished by a stainless steel rod. Bearing and adjustment are thus separated in the Linear Power focuser. This enables sensitive and smooth adjustment even with heavy loads.

The focuser position is fixed by means of an easy-grip knurled screw in the exact center of the axle. This ensures that the ball bearings are loaded evenly and no tilting occurs.

Of course, the focuser has 1:10 dual speed. Only this makes accurate focusing possible at f/4.

Pyrex mirror:
The parabolic primary mirror is made of Pyrex with low thermal expansion, this reduces the cooling time.

Astrophotography with the Quattro Newtonian telescopes
With the appropriate coma corrector you will achieve sharp stars over the whole field of view.
We especially recommend the TS GPU coma corrector, which is optimized for Newtonian telescopes with f/4. Simply insert the corrector into the 2" receptacle of the focuser. The working distance is exactly 55 mm for optimal results. The GPU works perfectly with all sensors up to APS-C format. The 4-element corrector offers the highest sharpness and is suitable for cameras with high resolution.
For larger sensors up to full frame, we recommend the 3-element TS Maxfield coma corrector # TSKomakorr. This corrector offers slightly better illumination with good imaging. Also with the TS Maxfield you have a working distance of 55 mm from the M48 thread to the sensor. The corrector is ideal for DSLR cameras and astro cameras with larger sensors, for example from ZWO.
