Kendrick 2038 - flexible Dew Shield for Tubes D=405 mm
Kendrick dewcaps are constructed of black ABS plastic and are all felt lined for maximum absorbtion of moisture and baffling of stray light.

This cap fits for example to 14" SCT from Celestron and Meade, EHD, ACF.

The cap is attached by wrapping it around your telescope just below the front lens or corrector plate ring. The two outside ends are then pressed together using the sewn on velcro. A rubber strip is supplied that must be attached along the bottom of the dewcap where there is no felt. This provides a friction fit so that the dewcap stays in place once attached. It also allows enough space to attach a heater around the corrector plate ring on the inside of the dewcap.

Advantages of the Kendrick dew caps compared to others:
The dewcaps are made of high-quality and particularly flexible plastic which is extremely resistant.
The Velcro fasteners are attached with double seams and do not come off.
The attachment to the tube is made with a non-slip rubber strip and therefore offers a better hold.

What advantages does a flexible dew cap offer?
Flexible dew caps do not need any space - they can simply be placed around the tube for transport.
They also provide protection against stray light, increasing contrast.
The fastening is especially easy with a Velcro tape.

You can use the dew cap with a heater:

These dewcaps come with a 0.5" thick rubber strip along the bottom. This provides plenty of room to wrap a heater around your telescope and then wrap the dewcap around the heater, enclosing the heater inside the dewcap. This changes the Standard Dewcap to a Heated Dewcap and you have the choice of using heaters.
