Orion Adapter for Skywatcher and Orion Maksutov Cassegrain telescopes on SC connector

Allows the use of the extensive range of accessories for SC telescopes on Skywatcher Maksutovs.

This adapter allows the connection of accessories with the well-known 2" Schmidt Cassegrain thread, as used by Celestron and Meade, to Maksutov Cassegrains from Skywatcher and Orion USA. This allows you to adapt accessories such as:

reducers from Intes Mikro, Celestron or Antares with SC thread.

The adapter is simply screwed over the thread on the back of the tube, it is particularly short so that no valuable optical path is lost. The adapter is only suitable for the Skywatcher Maksutovs, which are delivered with a 1.25" adaption, not for the telescopes, which are already delivered from the factory with a 2" adaption. These have a different connection thread.

Important note: The adapter only fits Skywatcher Maksutovs that are delivered from the factory with a 1.25" adaption. These have a 45mm thread under the 1.25" adaption. Skywatcher Maksutovs, which are delivered from the factory with a 2" adaption, unfortunately have a different thread. This adapter is not compatible with these devices.
