TS-Optics Tripod Adapter and Mount Adapter for the 100/1000mm Maksutov Telephoto Lens and Astro Telescope

The Mak1000, also known as MTO1000, is a fine instrument for photography, astronomy and nature viewing. Teleskop-Service offers an especially stable adaption to your mount or photo tripod. With this, the mounting via a female 1/4 thread, which is prone to vibrations, is replaced.

The advantages of the MTOHALT at a glance:

Fixing the lens with two threads offset by 90° - surely no twisting.

The Maksutov is not warped, the strain is more uniform than with only one screw.

A finder shoe for attaching finder scopes or guiding scopes for astrophotography is already mounted.

The connection to the tripod is made with a GP and EQ5 style dovetail bar with female 1/4" thread.

Optimal balance provides for more stability:

If you attach the 100/1000mm Maksutov with the mounting adapter to mounts with saddle plate, you can achieve a good balance by moving the adapter in the saddle plate. Thus you can well counterbalance a heavy camera or a lightweight eyepiece.

You can elegantly achieve the same with a photo tripod. You don´t attach the Mak 1000 with the mounting adapter directly to the ball head or pan head of the photo tripod. You attach the dovetail clamp TS-Optics PrismenklemmeS (see recommended accessories) onto the photo tripod and then you can move the Maksutov with the MTOhalt, thus achieving a better balance. Furthermore you now have a quick coupling, you can detach the Maksutov from the tripod within seconds.
