TS-Optics 1.0x Apo Flattener and Field Corrector Gen 2
Teleskop-Service has revised and improved the legendary 3" flattener. The result is an excellent field corrector for astrophotography with large sensors, such as full-frame cameras. The typical field errors of refractors, such as astigmatism and field curvature, are optimally corrected. We do not know of any flattener in this class with comparable results.

Distance recommendation for the TSFLAT3 flattener:
The corrector is optimized for refractors from 900 mm focal length. However, it can also be used on refractors with shorter focal length. The working distance must then be extended accordingly.

Working distances from M48x0.75 male thread:
refractors from 900 mm focal length: 55 mm from the M48 thread
Refractors from 800-900 mm focal length: 57 mm from the M48 thread
refractors from 700-800 mm focal length: 59 mm from the M48 thread

The corrector has two additional threads for individual adaptations:
M54x0.75 female thread: the working distance increases by 7.5 mm - ideal for full-frame cameras if you want to avoid the M48x0.75 bottleneck.
M78x1 female thread: The working distance increases by 22.5 mm - space enough to install an off-axis guider.

Adapting the TSFLAT3 to your telescope:
The corrector requires at least a 2.5" focuser. An M92x1 male thread is provided on the telescope side. The TSFLAT3 fits directly to the large 3.7" RPA focuser TSFOC37, with which the large Photoline and TSCF Apos are also equipped.

In the accessories section you will find connection adapters to many common focusers. We are also happy to manufacture an individual adapter to your focuser for you. The part number is # Special125.

Individual camera adapter from the M78x1 female thread:
The corrector offers a M78x1 female thread on the camera side with the long working distance of 77.5 mm to the sensor. We offer an adapter to the M68x1 male thread. So you can design your individual adaptation and adapt accessories like off-axis guiders, filter wheels ...

Question:
How do you have to measure the working distance?

Answer from Teleskop-Service:
The working distance is measured from the beginning of the connection thread on the housing of the corrector (see example picture):

This is simply excellent and universal refractor! Together with TSFlat3 I use it with medium format sensor of Fujifilm GFX 50S with excellent results. Stars are sharp, pinpoint right to the corners. Another use is for Moon and planets - it also handle very well Baader UV filter for Venus. The third option is viewing/capturing Sun in continuum and H alpha line - again very sharp views with very good tolerance to seeing conditions.
