Skywatcher Explorer 200PDS EQ5 PRO GoTo - 8" f/5 Telescope
The Skywatcher Explorer 200PDS offers to essential advantages for astro photography: A 2" Crayford focuser with 1:10 dual speed transmission and, due to the slightly shortened tube, enough back focus for nearly every camera on the market. Of course the system is diffraction-limited and has a parabolic primary mirror.

The Explorer-200PDS advantages: diffraction-limited and parabolized optical system for sharp and contrasty imaging / observation 2" Crayford focuser with 1:10 dual speed transmission and female M54 thread - ideal for astro photography sufficient back focus for all popular cameras well dimensioned secondary mirror (58 mm minor axis) for good field illuminationThe EQ5 SkyScan Pro GoTo mount
The stable GoTo mount EQ5 PRO SkyScan offers accurate tracking, autoguiding port and of course precise object positioning. The same GoTo system used in the HEQ5 and EQ6 Pro SynScan mount is used. It allows the user to set up any object or start a guided tour of the night sky at the touch of a button. The extensive database contains over 42,900 objects of the night sky.
The mount is suitable for telescopes up to approximately 10 kg. If off-axis guiding is used, it is absolutely sufficient. However, if the use of a guide scope is planned, we recommend the more stable mount HEQ5 SkyScan Pro.
Important note about power supply:To avoid loss of warranty, please use only the power supplies and mobile supplies recommended by us. Especially simple car batteries or sealed lead-acid batteries can lead to an under-supply, which can then damage the sensitive electronics of the mount. Operating a Skywatcher GoTo mount with a non-proprietary power supply not recommended by us is at your own risk. Thank you for your understanding. Here is the link to more information:
