TP3065 column - ideal for travel

Stiff yet lightweight, the TP3065 provides the ideal base for the Astrotrac tracking system and matching polar wedge. The system can be stowed away in a few easy steps and taken anywhere with a specially adapted carrying bag.

Lightweight and compact
The TP3065 gives you the base you need to do astrophotography. The aluminum center column is held by three height-adjustable legs and braced firmly and vibration-free with stainless steel cables.
The setup is done in a few moments, even in the dark.

"Pack & go"
You will be thrilled how easily and quickly the outrigger legs including stainless steel cables can be stowed away in the column. In no time at all, they disappear rattle- and scratch-free into the standard rolling bag and into the column, along with polar wedge and polar finder. The result is a compact tube of 150mm diameter, which can also be easily transported as flight luggage.

Protection for the polar wedge
The TP3065 provides the perfect protection for your Astrotrac polar wedge during travel: Mounted on the top end plate, it is simply turned over together with it and secured with turnbuckles. This way it is inside the column and cannot be damaged.

Various mounting options
The top end plate has prepared holes for a variety of mounts: e.g. the Astrotrac TW3100 polar wedge, the Manfrotto 410 gearhead and many others.

No cable clutter
Conveniently located openings on the top and bottom end plates allow 12V, USB and other cables to be routed through the interior of the column. The result is a "clean" setup and a significantly reduced risk of getting caught or tripping in the dark.

Expedition tested under real-world conditions
Even under more difficult conditions, you don´t need to worry if you leave the Astrotrac outside for a few days - the high-quality construction made of aluminum, stainless steel and brass does not resent even higher humidity in "outdoor operation".
The anodized end plates as well as the powder-coated column parts and tripod legs are designed to be highly wear-resistant for the longest possible service life even under rough conditions.

Uneven ground? No problem!
The column can be leveled quickly and accurately, even when loaded, using the individually adjustable threaded feet with large handwheels. The integrated spirit level of the TW3100 pole leveler helps you to do this.
For additional safety, the screw position can be locked by a hexagon socket counter screw accessible from the top.

By means of the specially adapted, padded carrying bag, your column with accessories can easily be taken anywhere.
