T2 adaptation for the Guiding Turret of many Off Axis Guiders

In our opinion the Celestron Radial Guider and the several guiders that are based on its original design are the best and most user-friendly on the market today. However for several applications they have a fatal flaw: The guiding turret on the side offers a rather long 1.25" connection, which is no longer ideal for most autoguiding cameras. We now offer an upgrade to eliminate this flaw. This adaptor replaces the original 1.25" clamp and replaces it with a T2 thread. The wonderful functionality of the Off Axis Guider, including the sideways rotation and the tilt function of the prism, remains intact.

Advantages of the Radial-T2:

 20mm lower profile if used with cameras with T2 thread

10mm lower profile if used with an illuminated reticle eyepiece that is compatible with the T2i-M28i adaptor

Fine Focusing:

Focus can be adjusted with Baader T2 fine adjustment rings, T2 extension tubes and if sufficient space is available with variable T2 extension tubes. Off Axis Guiders known to be compatible (see recommended accessories):

Adaptor that replaces the original 1.25" clamp of the off axis guider. The adaptor comes with two slug screws. The large thumbscrew seen on the image is not included - you just continue using the original screw of your guider.
