Many 1.25" eyepieces have an M28x0.6 (1/4" filter thread) external thread when unscrewing the silver barrel. The TS adapter T2i-M28i with a length of only 10 mm allows a ultra-low profile connection to the T2 external thread - you save up to 20 mm of optical path compared with a classical clamped adaptation using the eyepiece´s barrel!

How can I find out if my eyepiece is compatible?

This is fortunately very simple. You only need to unscrew the 1.25" barrel of the eyepiece and try to screw it back on upside down. If it works for at least several turns then the eyepiece is suitable.
