Celestron NexStar 130SLT GoTo Telescope
Newtonian telescopes are among the most popular entry-level telescopes - after all, they offer the largest aperture for money, and the larger the aperture of a telescope, the more you can see in the sky. The 130 mm primary mirror not only collects enough light to show you numerous gas nebulae, galaxies and globular clusters - the short focal length also makes low magnifications possible. The NexStar SLT 130 offers a connection for 1.25" and also 2" eyepieces. This allows you to observe extended objects that would no longer fit into the image field at a higher magnification. Star clusters also benefit from low magnification: they look their best when they are embedded in a star field. Of course, you can also use the corresponding eyepieces to magnify high and thus observe details on planets.

The NexStar SLT 130 is a true Newtonian, where the overall length corresponds approximately to the focal length. The optical system of the telescope consists of two mirrors that can be fully adjusted as needed to achieve optimum performance. The adjustment is a matter of a few minutes, especially with tools like the Baader Planetarium LaserColli - but it can also be done on the star. Newtonian telescopes are the only telescopes in which the entire optical system can be fully adjusted without great effort - but the NexStar SLT 130 delivers impressive images of nebulae and galaxies without any additional adjustment!

NexStar SLT GoTo computer control for anyone
Have you always wanted to use a comfortable telescope to view celestial objects at the touch of a button? Celestron´s Star Locating Telescopes allow you to do this for an incredible price! You have a built-in GoTo computer control with SkyAlign technology, menu navigation and an extensive database - and that at an excellent price-performance ratio.

With these telescopes you will find every celestial object of your choice immediately and without previous knowledge! Planets, comets, galaxies, comets - all at the touch of a button. A huge spectrum of observable celestial objects is at your disposal, and if you wish, the computer will independently suggest what can be observed at the moment.

The ready-to-use assembled tripod and the quick couplings for the connection with the fork mount as well as for the optical tube at the fork head allow an assembly in a few minutes - without any tools! All you have to do is extend the tripod to a comfortable height, screw the mount onto the tripod, secure the telescope using the quick coupling of the prism rail and insert an eyepiece - done.

Ideal for observers and beginners in astronomy
The mount of the Celestron NexStar SLT telescopes is a solid altazimuthal single-arm mount that can be assembled without tools. The large, easy-grip screws make this possible even with gloves on. The sturdy steel tripod has a shelf for accessories and a holder for the hand controller. The SLT mount supports devices up to a weight of approx. 4 kg, depending on the design. This allows, for example, lens telescopes with an aperture of up to approx. 10 cm or reflector telescopes with an aperture of up to approx. 13 cm to be mounted in a stable manner. The saddle plate (clamping device) on the arm of the mount fits any standard Vixen (V) dovetail and holds it securely.

A circular bubble integrated into a tripod leg makes it easy to set up.

The SLT mount is an altazimuthal single-arm mount. It is optimised to be quickly operational and easy to transport. In contrast to the classic equatorial mount, you do not have to align the telescope to the north, adjust the polar height or take counterweights with you. The mount is simply positioned horizontally, and after alignment (where any three bright stars are simply set) the computer automatically ensures that the telescope moves to the desired objects and keeps them in the eyepiece: the tracking system automatically compensates for the rotation of the earth.

This makes the SLT telescopes ideal for anyone who wants to observe the starry sky themselves: ready for use quickly and with all the necessary comfort.

Also the entry into astrophotography is possible
However, this does not mean that you have to do without photography: Lunar photography with a reflex camera or planetary photography with a video camera such as the Celestron NexImage 5 are also possible with the altazimuthal SLT mount. You will find suitable adapters in our assortment, we will of course be happy to advise you.
