Baader 1.25" Polarising filter - single
Reduces brightness, especially useful with a Herschel prism.This filter can be screwed into 1.25" eyepieces and can be used for individual light attenuation in combination with Herschel solar prisms. Turning the filter alters the brightness (a Herschel prism polarises the light).
Moon viewers using telescopes with 2" focusers can put a 2" polarising filter into the 2"/1.25" adapter and this 1.25" filter into the eyepiece. For adjusting the brightness, simply turn the eyepiece. Moon viewers having telecopes with 1.25" focusers might work with a barlow lens and two 1.25" polarising filters.
Moon viewers using star diagonals can, of course, use one polarising filter in the barrel of the diagonal and one in the barrel of the eyepiece.
