Berlebach Spica - altazimuth mount for binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes and cameras

The Berlebach altazimuth mount Spica is an exciting alternative to a ball head or tilt head. Small and lightweight altazimuth travel mount for holding binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes and cameras allows friction adjustment for both axes with easy-grip screws.

On the second side, a counterweight rod, a second saddle plate or a quick coupling for cameras or spotting scopes can be attached.

The Spica mount supports telescopes, spotting scopes or cameras over 20 kg at a weight of only 0.99 kg. This optimal ratio is achieved through excellent manufacturing quality from Germany. From 5 kg instrument weight we recommend a counterweight, so that the mount and the tripod are not loaded too one-sided.

The vertical axis is made of stainless steel and is mounted in bronze bushings, this provides smoothness without the need to use oil or grease.

The mount can be easily attached to a good photo tripod via the 3/8" tripod thread. We recommend photo tripods from TRITON, for example.
