The astro CCD camera DMK 31AG03.AS combines three features that are actually contradictory for astrophotography, namely high resolution, high frame rate and low price. With the downloadable software IC Capture.AS you write the images lossless and uncompressed into an AVI file.

Monochrome Sony® CCD
The basis of the astro CCD camera DMK 31AG03.AS is the CCD ICX204AL of the manufacturer Sony®. This monochrome CCD offers a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels at a format of 1/3". Its noise is low even at long exposure times. Due to its high quality, the ICX204AL is often used in industrial image processing.

No compression, no filters
The image data of the CCD camera DMK 31AG03.AS are not compressed. Furthermore, no optical or electronic filters are used. As a result, it ensures unaltered images of the starry sky.

Fast transmission thanks to GigE
The DMK 31AG03.AS telescope camera produces a high rate of uncompressed monochrome images. To be able to transmit them, it requires a fast interface - GigE.
