Optolong Narrowband Filter Set
The filter set includes three filters and enables astrophotos with extreme contrast. The filter set is suitable for both CCD and CMOS cameras. Mostly monochrome cameras are used for narrow band photography, but also color cameras are suitable. With the right mappings (R-G-B to SII-Ha-OIII), you can use the colors of the Hubble palette via photographic post-processing. Due to the narrow bandwidths of the filters, high-contrast images succeed even under conditions with stronger light pollution.

The filter set consists of:
H-alpha filter with 7 nm FWHM:

This nebula filter is suitable for the H-II regions and is the most popular narrow band nebula filter. It greatly increases the contrast of emission nebulae radiating in H-alpha around 656.3 nm.
O-III filter with 6.5 nm FWHM:

The filter transmits the light of doubly ionized oxygen around 496 nm, which is present mainly in planetary nebulae, but also in many diffuse nebulae. The filter is particularly well suited for planetary nebulae.
S-II Sulphur Filter with 6.5 nm FWHM:

The filter is an important addition for the so called Hubble palette, so if you take false color images. Many emission nebulae also have a portion in the sulfur light around 672 nm.

Which side of the filter needs to face towards the telescope?
Optolong has a good explanation on their page with a check on unmounted filters. With mounted filters, it´s easy. The side with the external thread must face the camera.
