TS EAF mounting kit for TS Optics 2" Crayford focusers

The kit allows the adaptation of the ZWO EAF motor focus to the 2" Crayford focusers from TS-Optics and GSO. The EAF motor focus eliminates the need for dual-speed because the adjustment is very fine. On the other hand, you can use the appropriate programs for computer-optimized focusing and for example also compensate for temperature.

The connection to the focuser:

Since the focusers do not have a flat surface for clamping the motor focus, the motor focus is clamped to the focuser housing with a transition ring. This is very simple:

Remove one of the two adjustment knobs on the focuser and put the coupling over it instead.

Remove the base on the focuser and put the aluminum ring over the housing.

Insert the axis of the ZWO-EAF into the coupling and attach the ZWO-EAF to the extension arm of the ring. By carefully turning and moving the ring, the focuser axis and motor axis center themselves.

Then first fix the grub screws on the coupling and then fix the EAF on the focuser by slightly tightening the two plastic screws on the ring.

Done - you are ready to start with motorized focusing.
