Orion UK Carbon Newtonian CT10 - 250 mm f/4.7 - Deluxe Version
Telescope service combines the best of two worlds. Orion UK mirrors are known for their good quality. These mirrors are delivered with certificate. Teleskop-Service has gained a lot of experience in telescope construction through its own Newtonian series. We use this experience in the construction of the CT10TS telescopes. The result is an all-around successful telescope with the proven quality optics of Orion and the well-known mechanics of Teleskop-Service.

Main product features:
Carbon tube for lightweight design and high rigidity, the tube is made in Germany.
CNC tube rings for a high load capacity.
Primary mirror with high optical quality with certificate.
97% reflection on primary and secondary mirrors for a bright image
2" Crayford focuser with 1:10 dual speed
CNC mirror cell with open design, thus the mirror cools down quickly.
Flexible dust cap for both telescope ends
Stable secondary mount with massive spider, holds collimation without problems
Primary mirror with 1/10 lamda with Zygo certificate test protocol (ULTRA grade optics - Orion´s best optics).
97% HILUX mirror coating

One telescope - three focus positions:
By offsetting the primary mirror cell in the tube, you can achieve three focus positions above the focuser. This gives you maximum flexibility.
Rear primary mirror position: Ideal for observation, you achieve maximum illumination and come into focus with all eyepieces.
Middle primary mirror position: Ideal for photography with coma correctors. This is the most versatile position. For observing, you can extend the focuser sliding tube slightly.
Front primary mirror position: this allows you to use 2" Newton correctors and reducers, such as the TS2KORRR (0.73x reducer/corrector) and gain speed. This position is also suitable for observing with binoviewers. You need only a very light glass path corrector anymore.

The surfaces of mirrors - Information from Orion UK
Manufacturing precision optical surfaces, (in this category we include both mirrors and corrector lenses), involves many specialised procedures to achieve the high degree of optical precision, some of which occasionally leave surface blemishes on the optic (mirror and/or lens).

If there are a few sleeks or scratches on the optics’ surface they in no way effect the performance of the lens or mirror either visually or photographically and cannot be considered as an acceptable reason for any complaint. Small pits are occasionally visible due to processing in the polishing and figuring process, these again cannot be accepted as reason for complaint. We endeavour to have blemish free surfaces but cannot guarantee such. Accordingly, we have set our cosmetic surface finish at a high standard production tolerance as is practical. We apply an optics industry standard to our surfaces of 80/50 scratch dig which is a measure of an acceptable level of surface blemishes per optic is acceptable.
