Skywatcher 0.77x Focal Reducer and Flattener for Esprit 150 ED
Designed specifically for the Sky-Watcher Esprit-150 ED apo refractor, the new three-lens focal reducer / flattener has a reduction factor of 0.77x. It comes with a standard adaptor with M48 thread edge and 55 mm back focus for use with Sky-Watcher´s M48 Canon EOS (code 20237) and Nikon (code 20238) adaptor rings.After removing the adaptor, an M71x1 internal thread with maximum 75 mm back focus is available for self-made adaptor solutions.
The reducer/flattener produces a fully illuminated and corrected image circle of 34 mm diameter and is therefore perfectly suitable for image formats up to APS-C, but can also be used for full frame format.

Der Reducer macht einen sehr soliden Eindruck und stellt eine bombenfeste Verbindung zum Okularauszug her über das native M86 Gewinde. Keine Probleme und besser als zB eine Lösung mit dem Riccardi M63 Reducer.
Aber... der von Skywatcher angegebene Arbeitsabstand stimmt nicht; ähnliche Berichte finden sich auch schon auf zB Cloudynights.
Mit meiner QHY268m und 1mm dicken Filtern komme ich auf ~59mm Abstand um eine gute Sternabbildung in den Ecken zu erreichen. Das deckt sich auch mit anderen Nutzerberichten. Also unbedingt als Eventualität mit einplanen, da 4mm eine etwas undankbare "Fehldistanz" sind (das M48 Gewinde gibt grob 3mm her für Abstimmringe, je nach dem wie schwer die Kamera ist etc). Mit meiner QHY ließ sich das letztlich mit dem flexiblen QHY Adaptersystem lösen.
