Wega Tube Rings for Samyang 135 mm f/2 Lens

Finally, there is a solution for the Samyang 135 mm f/2 lens, so popular among astrophotographers, for attaching to the mount with guidescope.

With this tube ring you can finally mount your lens including a suitable guide scope comfortably and safely on a small travel mount. Already from the Skywatcher Star Adventurer or the EQ3 mount a safe tracking without overloading the mount is possible. Long exposures are now possible by the safe attachment of a guide scope.

From now on a new filament is used for this 3D printed article, which is much more UV-resistant and can withstand temperatures up to 110 °C. This also allows the use in stationary applications in summer without the material deforming.

Important: Application note from Teleskop-Service

We recommend clamping the two clamps only lightly, which is perfectly sufficient to keep the telephoto lens stable. If clamped too tightly, the optics could become distorted, resulting in poor star images. Also, the clamp is not designed to be clamped all the way, it could crack. It is advisable to use washers as spacers to prevent excessive clamping.
