Celestron ExploraScope 80 AZ - versatile entry-level refractor and travel telescope

The ExploraScope telescopes are beginner´s telescopes that are primarily intended for uncomplicated terrestrial observation, but can also be used for a quick look at the stars and the moon. The alt-azimuth mount has been redesigned for more stability, as has the fine adjustment of the elevation axis. The tripod is made of coated aluminum, making it more resistant to wear and tear.

Easy operation and setup

The mount is very easy to use. The complete telescope can easily be moved horizontally and vertically, so you can reach any point on earth or in the sky in a short time. The installation is also simple. Set up the tripod and the mount, hang in the telescope and you are ready to go.

The StarPointer red dot finder is very practical

Instead of having to put your eye behind the eyepiece of a small finder scope, you can comfortably look into it from a great distance - a red dot "floats" in the landscape and marks the target the telescope is aimed at.

The accessories are complete

Included is a deflecting prism for a pleasant view. In addition, the prism erects the image and thus also allows the observation of birds and the landscape. Also included are three magnifications:

♦ Three Barlow... for 135x (in combination with the HR20)
♦ SR4... for 225x
