The pier is well suited as base for Newtonian or Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. Via optional adapters, you can attach various mounts (see recommended accessories). If the height of the stand is not sufficient, you can use the column extension 30A513 (optional), which increases the position by 300 mm.

Due to CNC machined aluminum parts, the tripod pier weighs only 15 kg, so it is ideal for transportation. However, it can handle payloads up to 100 kg without any difficulty.

Wheels at the bottom side make transportation over level surfaces easy, for example out of the garage. Via three levelling screws at the ends of the tripod legs, a solid footing is made and differences in height of the ground can be compensated.
