Vixen VMC200L Maksutov-Cassegrain reflector telescope - OTA

This compact Field Maksutov system is an alternative to all SC telescopes, as the optical properties and the overall design have been improved. The meniscus corrector, for example, is placed directly in front of the secondary mirror. Therefore, a dew-prone correction plate at the telescope aperture can be dispensed with.

Large field of application

The long focal length allows detailed observations of planets, distant galaxies, individual lunar craters or lunar mountains as well as numerous other celestial objects. A high-precision, specially coated spherical mirror allows an extremely sharp image of the observation objects.
Thanks to the open system, the optics cool down quickly and are therefore quickly ready for use. The short tube length of only 510 mm also makes the telescope very portable.
Vixen has developed a unique aluminum vacuum coating system that allows the production of extremely precise mirror surfaces, which is used on both the VMC200L/VC200L and the R200SS.

Astronomical observation: Eyepieces with 1.25" and 2" barrels can be used on the VMC. You will have no problems reaching the focus even with extreme eyepiece focal lengths.

[Astrophotography - Moon/Planets:*] The VMC is a powerful device for lunar and planetary photography. The high-quality focuser allows precise focusing.

[Astrophotography - Deep Sky:*] Vixen offers a good field flattener and focal reducer for the VMC. The image is sharp and the field of view is well illuminated. With the TS OAG 9 off-axis guider, you can even do without a guide scope while maintaining the optimum distances of the field flattening.
