TS-Optics 140 mm f/6.5 Photoline Triplet Apochromat
This apo is an ultimative telescope for observing and astrophotography. The apochromat is still portable and ideal for mobile astrophotography. Of course the apo is also a fine telescope for the observatory. 140 mm aperture and the image free of false color due to the triplet design allow a wide range of applications.

The 3-element objective is fully adjustable. Two Ultra-Low Dispersion ED elements allow an image free of chromatic aberration. Even bright stars will not have a color fringe.

The apochromat with the large 4" rack and pinion focuser allows astrophotography at the highest level. With the 0.75x 3" reducer you can achieve fast f/4.8 with full correction of the image field up to full frame size format. This allows you to expose an object easily in one night.

So telescope service tests every 140 mm f/6.5 apo:
The telescope is checked cosmetically and the mechanics (focuser) is adjusted optimally.
The collimation is checked at the optical bench (autocollimation) and improved if necessary.
A series of images is taken, which is included with every telescope. Star image extra- and intrafocal, star image in focus and a Ronchi image.

Connection of correctors for astrophotography
The apo offers a generous working distance, so that you can work with the TSAPORED075 (0.74x reducer) and still get into focus.

TSAPORED075 - 0.74x corrector up to full formatThe corrector is specially calculated for this apo and brings a very good correction up to full frame format. The focal ratio is improved from f/6.5 to f/4.81. The corrector is screwed directly to the M88 internal thread of the focuser. The rotator on the camera side must be unscrewed for this purpose; the rotation then takes place via the 360° rotator on the telescope side. The working distance from the M48 thread on the camera side is 55 mm. The distance is extendable.

TSFLAT25G2 - 1.0x corrector up to full formatFor those who want to use the full focal length of the telescope, this corrector is the optimal choice. This corrector can also be used up to full frame format. The corrector is screwed directly to the M68x1 female thread of the focuser. The working distance from the M48 thread on the camera side is 55 mm. The distance is extendable.

The combination of the Apo with the 1.0x TSFLAT25G2 will be my standard combination. The good speed of the Apo with f/6.5 makes a reducer not necessary and the correction is very good up to full frame. The setup with the ASI 2400 full frame camera worked from the beginning and I really enjoy it.
