William Optics Base Mount with Extension Bar for Skyguider Pro - for high Latitudes
This set improves stability as well as precision and then also allows the exploitation of this increased stability without an additional counterweight.

High Latitude Base Description:
This attractive and rock-solid Vixen-style base from William Optics is an ideal upgrade to the iOptron SkyGuider Pro tracking mount. Precisely and 100% CNC manufactured, this base improves the mount stability and facilitates adjustment and control of the mount position and tracking.

The look and feel of this base makes it an ideal match for the William Optics RedCat 51 optical tube, but it works with any small telescope with a Vixen mounting rail.

This base is mechanically optimized for adustments for observing at locations from 32 degrees to 59 degrees latitude.

Question:
Changing the base mount High (higher altitudes) to base mount Low (low altitudes).?

Answer from Teleskop-Service:
1. The two adjustment screws are unscrewed until the base mount can be moved freely.

2. At the bottom of the turntable, through the hole where the tripod is screwed in, a 3 mm Allen key is used to get to the fixing screw of the wedge.

View from the side: The wedge is the black, slightly bulging part on the right below the center of the image.

3. Turn the base mount so that the wedge is above the opening.

4. Loosen the screw, take the wedge out of the groove (do not remove the Allen key, the wedge with the screw will remain on the key and the wedge will not fall out), turn the base mount further until the wedge can be inserted into the other groove and tighten.

The advantage: You have a base mount with a latitude range scale of 7°-34°. Time required max. 2 minutes.
