SkyWatcher Newtonian Starquest-130P with equatorial manual Mount
The STARQUEST Series is a lightweight, ?grab-and-go? range combining proven high quality Sky-Watcher telescope optics with a newly designed and well-engineered equatorial mount. The mount features a high quality clutch system, precision 122 gear-tooth/360° gearing on both axes and excellent stability with a maximum payload of 3 kg. The equatorial mount, when polar aligned, allows you to easily track objects as they move across the night sky with its smoothly operated slow motion control cables.

With an extremely useful 130 mm of light gathering aperture and a superb parabolic primary mirror, the STARQUEST-130P telescope package is a highly capable all-rounder for the observation of the moon, bright planets/nebulae, galaxies and star clusters.

Supplied complete with equatorial mount and adjustable aluminium tripod.

The advantages of this Newtonian
130 mm aperture gather 30% more light than 114 mm. Hundreds of galaxies and nebulae can be observed successfully.

Another advantage is the short focal length of this telescope. Combined with the (optional) TS 32 mm Super Plössl eyepiece, a true field of 2.6° can be observed. This is more than 5x the diameter of the moon! Impressive wide field observations are therefore possible.

Moon and planets are depicted much sharper and full of contrast with a parabolic mirror. Even if they have a longer focal length, many telescopes with spherical mirrors are inferior. Lunar craters, fine rimae are shown with the same definition as the Cassini division in the ring of saturn.

"Bisher mit dem Gerät gemessen am Preis vollauf zufrieden. Am Stadtrand mit entsprechender Lichtverschmutzung etc.zum offenen Fenster raus mal kurz Vesta gesucht und gefunden. Bin gespannt was da echt noch raus zu holen ist unter guten Bedingungen. 1 Stern Abzug für die Bedienungsanleitung. Ich hab sie zum Glück nicht gebraucht."
