Orion Dew Heating Bands with 12 V power connection

The Orion Dew Zapper removes condensation from the front panel of your Schmidt-Cassegrain or Maksutov-Cassegrain. An unprotected corrector lens radiates heat and quickly cools below ambient air temperature to form dew. The dew point zapper gently replaces the lost heat and brings the temperature of the corrector lens back above the dew point.

Dew cannot form and you never get "heat wave" disturbances caused by warm air blowers or heated dew caps. The flexible, fibreglass-reinforced heating element bands are securely fixed with a Velcro fastener. It is operated with 12 Volt direct current. It connects to a cigarette lighter socket or a "field battery", delivering up to 20 watts, 2 amps.
