William Optics Flattener for Zenithstar 61

Obtaining the best image when taking photographs of the night sky can be a tricky task. There are fantastic telescopes that make this task a little easier, and William Optics has privided a way to take this aid one step further. This William Optics Flat61 Field Flattener is specifically made for the Zenithstar 61 telescopes. They provide a flat field over an image circle of 43 mm, for those who wish to participate in astrophotography. This flattener features a 1:1 ratio so no reduction.

These are adjustable as per the image so you can set the right spacing that you need for your camera without the need for extension tubes.

On the telescope side, this flattener has a male M54 thread for direct connection to the focuser drawtube (this requires you to unscrew the 2" eyepiece holder ring on the telescope to expose the M54 female thread inside the drawtube).

On the camera side, the flattener has a male M48x0.75 thread. You can use your Canon or Nikon DSLR directly with the use of an optional M48 camera-specific T-ring (sold separately). Please note that this cannot be used with the smaller 42 mm T rings.

Please Note: This item does not have a conventional 2" nosepiece or eyepiece holder. It is for direct connection of a camera to the William Optics Z61 scope only. In order to attach a specific DSLR camera to the the field flattener, a camera specific M48 T Mount is required.
