2" Colour Filter for Observation and Photography of Moon and Planets
Colour filters from Teleskop-Service offer excellent value for money. The filters are very well suited for observing and for astrophotography. Just screw the filter into the filter thred of your eyepiece, filter wheel or adapter and watch moon and planets with clearly more contrast.

By combination of the filter, you open up new interesting fields of application. There is a recommended telescope aperture mentioned at each filter.
TS Yellow #12 - from 80 mm aperture

The contrast on the surface of the moon is significantly increased. Surface details and clouds of Mars become visible. The Great Red Spot of Jupiter is ephasized. The blue fringe of achromatic refractors (false colour) is suppressed. The filter is also suitable for twilight observations.
TS Orange #21 - from 80 mm aperture

Dust storms on Mars become visible. Structures in the atmospheres of Jupiter and Saturn are better emphasized. The phases of Mercury and Venus can be observed better, even at daytime or in the twilight. In larger telescopes, also details in the atmosphere of Uranus become visible.
TS Red # 25 - from 80 mm aperture

The effect is similar to the one of the light red filter # 23, but more intensive. The filter strongly enhances the surface details on Mars.
TS Blue # 80A - from 70 mm aperture

The filter very well increases contrat in the atmospheres of Jupiter and Mars. The polar ice caps of Mars are considerably enhanced. The phases of Venus become better visible.
TS Green # 58 - from 80 mm aperture

One of the most important contrast filters. Lunar craters become more visible, even away from the terminator. The filter also emphasize the Great Red Spot of Jupiter and the maller vortices of the gas giants Jupiter and Saturn. The rings of Saturn are separated from the planet even more clearly.

Light Red #23A 60mm Aperture For very high contrast on the Moon - suitable for small aperture telescopes
This filter is used when observing the polar ice caps on Mars (100mm aperture and larger).
Separates the polar regions of Saturn from the equator region
Well suited for Venus by blocking the blue daylight. The sky appears black.
Red #25 80mm Aperture Similar to light red, suitable for telescopes of 100mm aperture and larger
Enhances details on Mars
