TS-Optics V-Power 2" Crayford Focuser
The focuser is intended for refractor telescopes, Cassegrains, Ritchey-Chrétien (RC) telescopes. The short overall height of only 60 mm with the drawtube retracted makes the focusert also attractive for telescopes with a less generous focus position. The focuser offers a generous travel of 73 mm, which can be used to focus various accessories.

The adaptation of the UNCR2V V-Power to your telescope:
The focuser has the suitable connection for a dovetail ring with 72 mm outer diameter on the telescope side. For Skywatcher refractor telescopes and to the important M90x1 connection thread we offer ready made adapters. You can acquire an individual adaptation to your telescope from us with the article Sonder105.

This focuser no longer has the weaknesses that many simpler Crayford focuser suffer from. This is achieved through special materials and high-precision manufacturing, such as for example:
The ball bearings are extra large and housed in their own housings on the focuser.
The running surface is made of V2A stainless steel.
The ball bearings do not run on aluminium, but also on V2A stainless steel. There are no more running tracks, even after many years
The reduction is also made of V2A steel.
A friction screw (hexagon socket screw) adjusts the resistance to movement. Even heavy accessories are held without additional clamping, which is important for remote operation.
A clamping screw (knurled screw) for the clamping is nevertheless available.
The drawtube is provided with anti-reflection ribs.
A gear wheel on the micro-reduction accepts the movement of the optional motor focus and thus enables ultra-fine motorized adjustment.

What is the function of the screws on the fixed part of the UNC focusers?

Basically you should always move the UNCN2 via fine focusing. With the coarse adjustment comes the feeling of a somewhat irregular adjustment. This has to do with the fine focusing which is then turned at "turbo speed".
The large knurled screw (in the middle) is used for locking. You should tighten it only slightly and always loosen it before adjusting.
With the hexagon socket screw in the middle you adjust the friction. This screw should only be tightened in such a way that the focuser does not move by itself at maximum load, for example with a 2" eyepiece or with a camera.
The two small M4 hexagon socket screws on the right and left side of the center only close blind threads. They are used to mount an optional focusing motor.
The two outer M4 hexagon socket screws fix the adjustment.
If the fine focusing knob is too close to the black coarse focusing knob, it may grind a little. At the outer silver knob you have a small hexagon socket screw, you can loosen it with an Allen wrench and then move the fine focusing knob a little further away.
