The Filter is screwed into the M55 filter thread of the RASA8 telescopes.

The filter does not alter the working distance, the normal connection adapters can be used further on.

Schott glass with anti-reflex coating prevents from unaesthetic reflexes on the image.

The filter works optimally together with the modern color CMOS sensors of astro cameras and system cameras and provides good color correction.

Celestron # 93614 LPS Filter for RASA8 Rowe Ackermann Astrograph

Improve the contrast of your images with the RASA8 with this nebula filter. The artificial brightening of the sky (light pollution) caused by cities now is almost blocked and thus the sky background is darkened, whereas nebulae and star clusters keep their brightness. The contrast is increased. You can expose 4 x longer and thus get correspondingly deeper.

The filter transmits, for example, unhindered:

H-Alpha - 656 nm

B-Beta - 486 nm

O-III - 496 nm and 501 nm

S-II - 672 nm

Installing the nebula filter in the RASA8:

The filter replaces the optical window of the RASA8. Remove the clear glass filter screw the LPS filter in. Make sure that the filter is completely screwed in. Then the distances are correct and you can go on to photograph with the original adapters.
