Celestron Focusing Motor for SC and EdgeHD Telescopes
The focusing motor for SC and EdgeHD telescopes provides a comfortable motor focusing for astrophotography and observing. With the installed focusing motor you can precisely focus celestial objects with the hand controller of your telescope or a computer instead of the focusing knob.

A motor focuser is optimal for visual observers who want to adjust the focus exactly and for astrophotographers. You don´t need to touch the telescope anymore, thus avoiding vibrations. With an installed motor focuser, an astrophotographer does not need to stay next to his telescope for focusing an image.

Combined with the computer assisted control of mount and camera, the focusing motor allows collecting data from a remote observatory or even from a telescope which is hundreds of kilometres away. As additional plus, caps protect the ports when not in use and, due to their elaborate design, they cannot get lost, too.

The Celestron focusing motor is compatible with:
all Celestron SC telescopes of 6" to 14" aperture from the construction year 2006
all EHD (EdgeHD) telescopes
all RASA telescopes (Rowe-Ackermann Astrograph) - for the RASA 11", you need the # 821161 retrofit kit.
with the 7" Maksutov Cassegrain
With the 6" and 8" NexStar SC telescopes
The focusing motor is not compatible with the C6 if the #93648 off-axis guider or #93519 2" mirror diagonal us used.

Powering the focusing motor - three possibilities:
If you use a computer-controlled mount from Celestron, you can operate the focusing motor via the mount with the supplied AUX cable. This allows the operation via the hand controller of the mount (NexStar+ or StarSense) or a computer.
If you don´t use a Celestron mount, you can power and also control the focusing motor viaa the USB port of a computer. In addition, you will need a cable with USB-B plug.
You can also use an external 12 V DC power supply which is connected to the 12 V input of the motor.

Compatible software:
Celestron offers a free Focuser Utility Program for controlling via PC. The Celestron PWI software can also control the focusing motor. For using the software of other suppliers, an ASCOM driver is needed which can be downloaded here.

10min Arbeit
