Vixen AXJ mount with PF-L polar scope for telescopes up to 22 kg weight

The equatorial GoTo mount AXJ shows, that Vixen is capable of producing uncompromising High-end level mounts. The processing quality and finish are on a par with noble italian Premium mounts.

Highly precise tracking thanks to V-PEC - even suitable for astrophotography without Autoguiding

Usually, periodical errors of mounts are measured and corrected by the user. Thanks to the new STAR BOOK TEN control box, the periodical error is directly measured and adjusted by Vixen in post-production. This way, each mount is delivered with a tracking precision of +/- 4,0 arcseconds. You can furtherly increase tracking precision, if you save your own corrections. These corrections are permanently saved and don´t have to be repeated in each session.

Belt drive prevents gear play and reduces noise

The new Belt-Drive system replaces the gearwheel. As a result of this, unnecessary gear play is eliminated, reaction time is significantly improved and the noise level when slewing is reduced.

14 highly precise and loadable ball bearings

The movable parts of the AXJ mount have 14 ball bearings in total. These bearings are effectively being used both for the RA- and DEC-Axis as well as for the bearing shaft of the worm gear.

Polar altitude adjustment from equator to 70° northern and southern width

The altitude of the AXJ mount can be adjusted between 0 and 70 degrees; Split up in 3 zones (High, Middle and Low altitude) and adjustable +/- 15 degrees per zone. The Latitude scale displays 5 degrees for each marking. For fine adjustment there are two large clamping screws (approximately 0,7 degrees per rotation).

Precise and illuminated polar scope for northern and southern hemisphere

The 6 × 20 polar scope is preinstalled. With it, one can adjust the polar slignment (both in the northern and southern hemisphere.

Flexible mount head

The AXJ is supplied with a flat mount head. Recessed into the scratch-resistant mounting plate are eight M8 threads and four 5/16" threads, which allow the attachment of dovetail clamps with either Losmandy- or Vixen-level fast coupling or additional plates.

True load capacity of 22 kg at only 17,4 kg weight (equatorial head)

Both axis are mounted on 14 ball bearings. As a result of this, Vixen achieves an outstanding ratio between mount weight and load capacity. The mount is unrestrictedly suitable for mobile use and even carries large Newton telescopes, RCs and of course apochromatic Refractors with an aperture up to 175mm.
