TS-Optics Carbon secondary mirror Spider for 8" Newton telescopes

This secondary mirror Spider is ideal for self-construction of Newton telescopes for planetary observation. The Spider is optimized to cause the least amount of obstruction:

The center middle part has a diameter of 28mm, thus you can use very small secondary mirrors with a minimum minor axis of 28mm. We recommend this Spider for secondary mirrors up to 50mm minor axis diameter.

The Spider arms are made of Carbon with a thickness of only 0,8mm. This results in extremely delicate spikes around bright stars und also minimizes internal light scattering around planets. Contrast is improved significantly.

Which kind of tubes does this Spider fit:

You can use tubes with a minimum inner diameter of 228mm. Smaller tubes can´t be used, because the Spider would not have sufficient tension. This tension is what causes the stability and makes the Spider as torsion-resistant as a metal one.
