Artesky Filter Holder and T2 Adaption for Canon EOS Lenses
Use your high-quality Canon EOS camera lens and take images of, for example large celestial areals. Here the astro camera replaces the SLR. This adapter provides the connection and opens up completely new possibilities.
Create L-RGB color images of large regions in the sky with monochrome cameras and photograph extended diffuse objects or entire parts of our Milky Way.
Use 2" nebula filters with your astro camera for increasing contrast. Now impressive celestial images become possible even in the vicinity of cities.
Attach your astro camera with the Canon EOS lens to the telescope or compact guiding platforms like the Star Adventurer. Now you can expose as long as you want. Suitable adaptions can be found in the accessories area.
Attach your astro camera with the Canon EOS lens to a photo tripod and take impressive night photographs with beautiful foreground subjects.

The ART8172 is suitable for all cameras with T2 connection and up to 17.5 mm working distance.
The workking distance is the distance from the T2 thread connection to the sensor. Cameras with 17.5 mm working distance can be connected directly. Focusing is made via the lens, as usual. Suitable cameras are, for example:
ZWO ASI cooled cameras (Cooled and Pro Version)
ATIK CMOS and CCD cameras (like Horizon)
Touptek cameras
QHY cameras
Altair Astro CMOS cameras

For cameras with shorter working distances, like the uncooled astro cameras from ZWO, we offer T2 extensions for obtaining the correct distance.

The connection to photo tripods, mounts and telescopes:
At the base of the adapter, you can find a stable plate with a 1/4" photo thread (female).
With this, you can attach the combination directly to your photo tripod.
Many tracking platforms, like the Skytracker from iOptron or the Star Adventurer from Skywatcher, already have a 1/4" connection. For other mounts, we offer a Vixen/EQ5 style dovetail bar (Item # PSFotoDel).
An effective parallel mounting to your telescope is provided by the camera holder for finder shoes, Item # SuKaHa. The adapter fits into the finder shoe of most telescopes. We offer further finder shoes for self adaptations, of course.
