Skywatcher telescope Evostar 72 mm ED DS Pro OTA - ED apochromatic refractor
Apochromatic refractors produce the highest quality images amongst all other telescope systems, due to their obstruction free, textbook-like star diffraction pattern.

The Skywatcher high-end Evostar 72ED Apo refractor holds a doublet objective with one lens made from particularly low dispersion glas. The crown glass element is made from premium-quality Schott glas.

Every glass-air surface has been given an exotic, metallic anti-reflection coating, to achieve maximum light transmission of 99,5 %!
The groundbreaking Skywatcher "Metallic High-Transmission Coating" (MHC) is the highest quality optical lens coating in its class.
(Please consider, that the Evostar 72ED Apo uses different lens glas types than the Evostar 80ED / 100ED and 120ED models)

Astrophotography with the Skywatcher EvoStar 72 ED:
This refractor is equipped with a 2" Crayford focuser with micro-gear reduction (dual speed). The gear reduction permits absolutely precise focusing. Skywatcher offers a 0.85x corrector with # 202352. If you want to use the full focal length of the refractor, you can use a 1.0x flattener.

WIFLAT5 - William corrector for small refractors

The focal length and f-ratio remain unchanged, the backfocus comes to 55 mm. You can directly connect your DSLR using the appropriate T2 ring.
