The aperture of 130 mm offers you the advantage of a high light grasp. So the mirror collects for example 30% more light than one of the popular size of 114 mm. As a consequence your reach towards nebulae, clusters and galaxies is higher.

What this telescope can do in astronomy:

Observation:
The maximum useful magnification is about 250x. Planets are already of considerable size, so fine detail becomes visible as for example the polar caps of mars or the Great Red Spot on Jupiter which is in fact a giant cyclone. Because of the parabolic main mirror, you will see much more details on objects in the solar system.

The large aperture of 130 mm shows also thousands of nebulae, star clusters and galaxies. Watch the Duck-cluster M11 and enjoy several hundred stars in the same field, or watch the fine dust lanes of the Great Orion Nebula as it drifts along through the eyepiece.

Photography:
Under "recommended accesories", we offer a T2 adapter for the eyepieces to adapt your SLR camera to take images of the moon and planets. If you have a compact camera without interchangable lenses, we offer a special clamp ("Digiklemme") to adapt it as well.

The scope equipped with those adapters is ready for the photography of the moon and the planets. Helpful is the optional tracking motor that you find under "recommended accesories" as well.

Using this teleskope:

This scope is very user friendly. A clearly structured manual (German language) is included. Within a short time you familiarize with the telescope, then you start the joy of observing.
